Description

This program identifies the incidence and prevalence of diseases in selected population groups through organized surveillance efforts.  Surveillance activity includes:

• monitoring the occurrence of reportable diseases
• providing comprehensive case management to individuals in sensitive situations
• investigating and intervening during communicable disease outbreaks
• providing on-going educational programs for the community on various communicable diseases

• Tuberculosis detection, education, treatment, case management and follow-up
• Childhood Lead Poisoning Monitoring Program
