COMMUNICABLE DISEASE CONTROL
|
Description
This program identifies the incidence and prevalence of diseases in selected population
groups through organized surveillance efforts. Surveillance activity includes:
- monitoring the occurrence of reportable diseases
- providing comprehensive case management to individuals in sensitive situations
- investigating and intervening during communicable disease outbreaks
- providing on-going educational programs for the community on various communicable
diseases
